I have to admit that I am quite a gearhead. so last week I was constantly filling virtual shopping carts and clearing them again just to fill them with other stuff once again. we're talking about photo equipment here, no doubt about it!
I am using Nikon DSLRs currently (except my small Fuji x70 which i really love). But the Nikon's are really bulky and I am traveling quite a lot - so on my last trip I was suffering from the weight issue. So I had set my eyes on the Fuji X System and had a long chat in a photo shop. i filled some virtual shopping carts with Fuji stuff ... many shopping carts to be honest!
I read reviews about the cameras I have again and again and I realized that they are pretty amazing, so in the end I said to myself: stick with what you have!
and I dropped the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f5.6E ED VR in my last shopping cart and hit the 'send' button! the next safari will come up anyway in no time so what the heck! I picked it up today and what can I say? I just fuckin' loooove telephoto lenses!
not only for wildlife - also for architecture it's quite a party
I took my standard 'I-just-bought-another-new-lens-and-am-walking-back-home' path that leads along some nice buildings in zurich which offer good subjects for testing the lenses that you just dragged out of the shop.
All Images shot on the Nikon D500 - thus a 1.5 crop on the focal lenght if you compare it to a Full Frame Camera.
find these and other architecture images also here.
